OBSTACLE COURSE
As part of the animation course at Ringling, students were tasked with creating an environment for a ball to explore, containing some animated obstacles that would interact with the subject as it moves.
Assets
In order to create a consistent design language, and as a challenge to myself, I created every asset only using pill shapes. This was a choice partially inspired by a similar aesthetic found in videos from Kurzgesagt, but it also made for an excellent unifying element due to the pill's simplicity and versatility.
THE MAIN COURSE
Begin to demonstrate process by showing early work, often style frames. These often require less explanation, though with a defined aesthetic by this point in the process, the rationale behind it will likely need to be clarified.
